NFC connects the world of apps and the physical works together. NFC enhances the user experience to everyday life. Until NFC came along, it took more manual effort to get things done; like typing in your credit card number on a computer, or setting up your Wifi connection on your mobile phone. With NFC, you simply have to tap your mobile phone to a reader, Tag, or other NFC device.

Unlike other connectivity technologies such as Bluetooth or WiFi, NFC also benefits from a very large installed base of cards, readers and applications such as transport, ticketing or access that exist today. NFC is interoperable with most of today's contactless infrastructure used in Point-of-Sale, transport ticketing, and building access.
